Welcome

Welcome to the web page of the Rotary Club of Hinckley.

"It's a privilege to undertake the role of President sharing the task with Peter, half a year each, but with a lot of flexibility.

It is 7yrs since last time I tried it. Hope to get it right this time.

In the 7 years there have been many changes .We have lost some Rotarians and welcomed new ones into the Club.

The thing that hasn’t changed however is the spirit of the club. It retains its friendly, informal nature, which I am sure, is appreciated by new members.

It is important that we work together to ensure that all new members are comfortable and feel able to make a contribution to the Club.

We have heard about the project, which the SVP will lead to recruit more members. It is hoped that this will lead to Ladies joining the Rotary Club and whilst I appreciate that there may be some mixed views we must all do our best to make sure they integrate into the club.

The club will continue to fund raise to support those good causes which the Committees choose. We are also moving into some modern ideas with Individual Rotarians or a small team working to complete a project whether it be fundraising, social, service or fellowship.

The motto for this year is MAKE DREAMS REAL and we can certainly do that either through the aid we give or through service.

What I hope is that over the year we can enjoy the company of fellow Rotarians keeping the fellowship we have in the club whilst at the same time moving forward to embrace whatever changes we face.

But above all have fun.

."
